"verdant, profound and lovely"

Philosophy in the Garden is reviewed by Julie Thomson in The Daily Telegraph today (and perhaps the Courier Mail too).

It's a short but kind review.

Julie writes that "in this touching, delightful book, we discover how thinking, sensitive human beings in history drew their best work in nature".

Julie also notes one of my hobby-horses: the point that the garden's virtues can be equally savoured on a small scale.

The review's only on paper, but you can click on the image above to read a scan (courtesy of The Velvet Nap).
