It's a book for lovers of thought, literature and gardens; for curious minds and green thumbs.
There's even a chapter for those fed up with overgrown couch grass or morning glory: on Sartre and his chestnut tree 'nausea'.
The illustrations, by Daniel Keating, are first rate (see a small sample over at Meanjin).
The paperback edition is available in all awesome bookshops around the country, and online (check here for websites). (I spotted and signed some copies yesterday.)
There's also an e-book for Kobo and Book.ish (Gleebooks/Readings). Kindle and Nook editions will follow the international release.
I'll be launching the book in Sydney with novelist Charlotte Wood at Gleebooks on Wednesday 5th December. The Melbourne launch, with ethicist and public intellectual Leslie Cannold, is at Embiggen Books on Thursday 6th December. Do book a seat if you're keen.
