Cleaning Up

One of my first guests on The Write Tools was US author David Lebedoff.

David's excellent The Same Man was my Readings 'Book of 2008', and in my review I wrote: "Lebedoff is a fine storyteller, with an eye for character and scene. And The Same Man is wonderfully written. Like Orwell and Waugh, the author loves the English language, and its power to liberate thought and feeling."

This is also true of David's earlier book Cleaning Up, on the Exxon-Valdez oil spill.  In Cleaning Up, David used his legal expertise to offer a clear and damning report on the Exxon-Valdez legal saga.  But he also humanised the case, combining a gripping story with well-rendered characters.

Cleaning Up has recently been updated for the BP Gulf of Mexico disaster, and is now out on Kindle.
